open farm days

Open Farm Days at Pepper Tree Farm — where families can slow down, explore the land, and enjoy simple, hands-on time together on the farm.

Book Time As a Family At The Farm

Living with a child with a disability keeps a parents on their toes. Everything is fine and then it’s not. Long days are spent in the E.R., hospital or at home because of a hundred reasons. An outbreak of measles at school can keep a child home for a month. An injury can disrupt a child’s schedule for weeks.A single mom’s work schedule change can affect her ability to transport her child to a special program.

The situations mentioned happen to ordinary children, too. The difference for our kids is that change - which is rarely good - can cause a child to panic, which then affects the entire family. For some families, a morning in the ER means no school, but then what? There’s always a McDonald’s play yard, but how about something better?

This is where our Open Farm policy comes into play. Pepper Tree Farm, a working farm with live animals, will be open to our families sunrise to sunset, 313 days a week, closed Mondays. For families who know in advance about the need for a visit, signing up on Calendly on our website will be available. A last minute need can be met by calling the Farm office.

Pepper Tree Farm wants to embrace our families, helping them along the tough road they travel.
